Roses, Crosses and Rock and Roll!

Its always nice to see flowers displayed with a bit of edge! This shoot certainly shows roses in a different light.

Katie and Tims home made wedding

One of our favourite weddings from last year is being featured in You & Your weddings this month

Katie and Tim Married in Somerset and put a huge amount of love and energy into making their wedding look amazing, drawing on their design background. They really paid attention to the finest of details and created an incredibly beautiful day, with some really personal finishing touches. We worked closely with Katie to make sure her flowers really tied in with everything she had designed. The photographer Anushe captured the details and the feel of the day perfectly.

I love the sheer simplicity of this shoot, its amazing how great even one flower can look. White on white is so effective!

Sat looking out of the office window as the sun is setting behind the hill, there is a soft coral light which is filling the valley with the promise of spring… and all the lovely flowers and foliages that come with it. Hooray!

Constance Spry, Pioneer of modern floristry.

I am reading a book about the life and work of Florist Constance Spry who revolutionised the world of floristry and empowered Britons in the mid 20th Century to create amazing flower arrangements made from all sorts of un-assuming materials such as berries, vegetables, twigs and weeds.

She once said “I do feel strongly that flowers should be a means of self-expression for everyone.” and we tend to agree. What an inspiring woman.
